Quality Inspection

We provide fully qualified quality inspection representatives that will provide the following services;

Welding inspection –

  • Codes, standards and specifications: Interpretation of the intent and ensuring the requirements of codes, standards and specifications are met.
  • Welding procedures: Ensuring that a procedure is available, has been approved and is being employed in production.
  • Witnessing of welder and procedure approval tests: Witnessing the preparation of test plates and destructive tests and verifying compliance with appropriate standards and specifications.
  • Pre-weld inspection: Verification that dimensions, fit-up and weld preparations are in accordance with specifications.
  • In-process welding inspection and surveillance: Surveillance during welding to verify compliance with specified procedures including any pre­heat, inter-pass temperature control and post heat requirements.
  • Inspection and Test Plans: Assistance and agreement with the preparation of Inspection and Test Plans (ITP’s).
  • Post-weld visual inspection: Visual inspection and dimensional check of completed weldment against specification require­ments and drawings.
  • Reports: Evaluation of and preparation of inspection reports for the client.
  • Records: Maintenance of records of inspections carried out.

Coatings Inspection –

  • Executes the specific inspections on materials, equipment and construction / installation activities on site.
  • Issues the relevant Quality Records and, when necessary, write and send to Quality Control Supervisor non-conformances reports.
  • Control of storage and certification of consumables.
  • Performs qualifications of coating processes.
  • Checks surface preparation.
  • Checks and records atmospheric conditions prior to starting of painting operations.
  • Carries out wet and dry film thickness checks.
  • Monitors observations of the correct coding cycles.
  • Verifies the correct colour-coding and painting.
  • Performs visuals inspections.
  • Performs adhesion testing.
  • Performs penetration testing.
  • Evaluates impact testing.
  • Performs visual checks after blasting.
